Happy Birthday, Peterik and Jared Zeus! Jared's 24th and Peterik's 21st. I was the bad friend that missed out on the 21st celebration, but I'm sure I'll be buying the boy shots in the future to make up for it.

I disappeared for another week. I'm going to be disappearing for even longer very soon for reasons that I cannot yet share, so I'll apologize for that in advance, but I know you will all forgive me for that one.

I'm exhausted. Dinner at my sister's cooked by a god, and I think I had too much red wine...again.

Oh, I'm psyched because I parked in Queens for a few days and had the luxury of returning to my car with the antenna NOT stolen this time, but instead my driver side window completely shattered into my seat, my CD discman stolen, all my CDs, my Kate Spade sunglasses I got for free at the VMA's, and my friend's prescription sunglasses. Why steal those things? Why steal my Britney's and my Bjork's? I have a hard time believing this dude really wants them. Well, this shattered window is really great during this heat wave, and I'm really looking forward to it raining. I shouldn't complain because it would be so much worse if it were Winter, but I'm GOING to complain because my goddamn car was broken into and now I can't listen to Bjork or Britney. Yeah, I'm totally entitled to complaint.

Tomorrow is the fourth. Everyone is worried about terrorism, but I'm not, and not because I don't believe it's possible that something bad could happen, but because I can't avoid bad things happening and if I spend my whole life being afraid of America's holidays, I pretty much have got nothing. I thought we're supposed to fight terrorism by not allowing ourselves to be terrorized. That's the approach I'm taking.

Not crazy about the fourth anyway. I've enjoyed maybe two of them in my life. Overrated holiday...not what it stands for, but the actual act of celebration. Never had those regular barbeques, family gatherings, crazy parties. It's just a hot day where people watch fireworks. I love fireworks, but I don't like the hastle of trying to get to the overcrowded place to see them. I guess it's all about the company. If that's the case, then this will be an amazing holiday because the company is pretty damn good. yay.
