I
think I'm not sick anymore. It's hard to tell because coughs
manage to make their way out of my throat on occasion. Still,
I feel the healthiest I have in two weeks, which is ironic
since I spent the last two days in Vegas living life Vegas
style, which should in NO way make a person feel healthy.
I guess with all the mandatory alcohol consumption there,
anything else would feel healthy in comparison.
I don't gamble while I'm there. I personally don't see the
point. It's not for me, but I have watched it be very fun
for others, and I enjoy watching friends enjoy their gambling,
but it's not for me. To me, it's like why don't I just throw
some twenties up in the air by a cliff just to see if it might
land on the cliff or twist and turn off the side into the
ocean. Hell, that's a gamble, right? I was leaving the casino
today on my way to head home, and I thought, "Well, I
can't not gamble at ALL while I'm here." So, I took out
a five dollar bill, threw it into the Wheel of Fortune slots,
and watched every cent disappear in less than one minute.
I nodded, and walked out of the Luxor having made my conclusion
that I will never win one thing in the world from gambling.
I enjoy the dog track. Black Jack seems fun enough. I see
people having the time of their lives at sports bars, roulette
tables, poker james, but something doesn't match right with
me. I just can't win.
I'm trapped by TV. I HATE when that happens. When you just
can't turn it off, and you NEED to. When you're dying to read,
but as soon as you turn off that noise, you just want it back
on again. Horrible. Miserable.
I'm exhausted. I'll write more soon. I need to TRY to turn
off this TV and get out my new book. I also need to find something
about how to get great lighting for your home. I'm having
lighting issues. |
