American Idol 4 update (If you don't watch, then scroll down. I'm just giving a quick opinion on each performance and person):

I can't go through everyone...or can I? We'll see. I'm watching the girls now, so I'll start with what I see, and then piece together what I can. My favorite girls: Carrie Underwood. I just love that girl. Sweet, good tone, huge range, and just plain pretty. She loves to sing, and she doesn't care. Vonzell (the black Jennifer Gardner), she's just fucking adorable with amazing control and range. And how fucking cute is it that she's a mailman (mail "person")? I hope she goes far. They both did great tonight. And so far, they're my favorites. Who did not do great so far? Janay. Sweet girl, but you'd think that she was just grazing through the fields and the camera is a hunter with a shotgun pointing between her eyes. Scared shitless up there. "Oh, it's your first time up here...nerves are okay...blah, blah, blah, BLAH!" Sure, it's understandable to be nervous, but not when your opponents don't come off nervous. Powerful voice, and we didn't see it, and that's a damn shame for her. Amanda Ivila - beautiful, powerful voice, but is she memorable? I don't know. Nice girl, no questions, but can she sing anything but ballads? I'd be interested to see. Sarah? Watching now. Um...I don't know. So far, she's the only chick in this batch that I think I can sing better than, so I can't be impressed. The other chicks - humbling. This one? I don't. Pretty girl. Sure she's cool. Honestly...bad performance. Seriously. The guys - clearly, Mario should win this. Unique look, fun dresser, amazing performer, out of control voice - not a single thing working against him. If a guy is going to win this, he should. I think that's damn clear. Melinda is singing now. She corners better than I can, that's for sure, but I don't know. Great, rich voice, but I don't know about this song. Don't know about the outfit. Very day-at-the-beach. But you know? She reminds me a lot of one of good friends from high school, Audris, so how can I not love her, you know? Okay, other guys - Anwar, just great. Loves to sing. Picking up a pattern here - the people who do the best are not just the ones with the best voice, but the ones that fucking love to sing and SHOW it. Some people are there because they want to be famous. Some people are there because the LOVE singing. Bo is one of those guys too. He's a performer. He's natural. I'm all for that guy. Joseph Murena - JUST learned about this guy in this past episode. Sucks for him, but DAMN is the one velvety, controlled voice. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. Mature voice. Big fan. Jared Yates? I don't remember, so that can't be good. I think he had a good voice, but I'm just not feeling him at this point. I just don't care, which I'm sure has a lot to do with the fact that they didn't show him at all up until this point. Anthony Fedorov - great back story, beautiful voice, but I'm just not as excited about him as other people I know. Nadia Turner - I've always been a big fan. Great look, great personality, awesome performer. Honestly though - I don't think this song showed her voice. I feel like she showed more in her first audition. The whole song was in two notes. She could have shown more. Absolutely routing for her, but I'm bummed. Celena - bad start. Can't hear her. Literally. Her voice sounds tired. She's beautiful though. Like her style. Shit, if I can get my fucking ass to the gym, I'd love to have her body. Honestly though, she sounds tired. Not a good job. Judd Harris - he's good, but I don't know. I just don't care about him, which is probably due to the lack of featuring on the show. I just don't think I care. Scott - just gorgeous voice. A little scary, no question, but come ON - that voice! Travis Tucker - fine, did fine. I don't know, I don't care. Nikko - a little shaky, but really hard song. Not passionate about him either. Constantine - can't decide. One second I like him, next I'm not that into him. I'm going to hold off before having any major opinion. Mikalah - she's one of my favorites, but is she a small dose kind of gal? I wish her luck, but is there such a thing of overbearing? I don't know. I worry about her. I've been a fan though, big fan, and I hope she gets really far. Lindsay, was this her first audition song? That's a bummer. We've already heard it. Talk about safe. Great tone, she's her one girl, but I don't know. She sounds tired too. She always going to sing sleepy songs? I'm going to have to take a nap now... She's a nice girl though, and I would like to hear more. Jessica Sierra. Um...I don't know. I don't know. She loves performing, but the song was a bit weak. She could have blown that song up - lots of potential, but she kept the notes soft. And because she didn't get any camera time before this, I don't think that was a strong enough impression. Aloha on the other hand - for this being her first impression, damn good. Having fun, good song. Needs a make-over. Not feeling that outfit. But she's good. I like this chick. I want to hear more. I like this girl.

Who do I think is going home? Selena and Janay. Jared and Judd. I could be wrong, but based off of these performances, this is my guess. We shall see. Now, unfortunately, it's not just about tonight's performances, so it's not really about how did a good job. The look comes into play. The prettiest chicks aren't going home yet because people like to look at the prettiest chicks. I'm hoping the most talented stay though. We shall see...

Wow, I think I got everybody. Nice. Damn that was long and boring, but I needed to talk about it. That's all I've got. I feel like lounging.
